Those tasks that you dread doing, the things that you’re probably putting off right now, are the things that you should be checking off of your to-do list first thing in the morning. Otherwise, you’ll waste much of your mental energy worrying and procrastinating.
My workday starts with doing the thing that I’m least looking forward to—whether it’s something boring or tedious or just unpleasant, I just want to get that out of the way. For the rest of the day, I can be 100% present for my clients and my coworkers because I’ve freed myself from the responsibilities I was dreading the most.
That, in my opinion, is the best way to structure your day so you can be in the right head space for maximum productivity.
